Pierre was a beautiful 18.2hh Boulonnais Draft Horse.

It is with the greatest sadness that we had to say our goodbyes to our beloved Pierre yesterday morning. (Thursday 26th January 2023)
Pierre was found in his stable unable to get up, and along with our trustees, volunteers and friends from Circus Mondao who dropped everything to come to this boy’s aid, it sadly was not to be. And so on our Vets advice we all said our painful goodbyes.
Pierre was a beautiful 18.2hh Boulonnais Draft Horse, who came to the centre on the 23rd January 2017 after his previous owner passed away.
He was very much loved by volunteers and visitors alike giving truth to the term ‘Gentle Giant’.
Pierre was retired a few years earlier due to arthritis but had spent much time taking part in our themed events. From medieval riding skills, horse archery, harness work and even playing a magical unicorn he took anything in his stride!
He truly tried his best and had a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
