Looking for a fun, memorable and hands-on experience with animals? Come and join us for Sanctuary Saturdays at the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre — a unique chance to meet our amazing animals and enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly session in the Lincolnshire countryside.

Sanctuary Saturdays are pre-booked, 2-hour sessions where guests can enjoy a variety of interactive animal activities, learn about life at the sanctuary, and spend time with some of our most-loved residents.

Whether you’re a family, couple, group of friends or just a huge animal lover — this is the perfect weekend treat!

🐐 What’s Included?
Each Sanctuary Saturday experience includes:
   •    🐴 Pony grooming
   •    🦙 Llama walking
   •    🦡 Ferret handling
   •    🐐 Meet & feed the animals
   •    💬 A short talk about their stories and personalities

These sessions are small and relaxed, and while you’ll be joining alongside other booked visitors, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming — perfect for those who want something quieter than a busy open day.

☕ On the Day
   •    Hot & cold drinks, cakes, crisps and snacks available to buy
   •    Please dress for the weather – many activities take place outdoors
   •    Dogs welcome on leads
   •    The whole sessions lasts around 2 hours

📝 Important Information
   •    Pre-booking is essential – we do not accept walk-ins
   •    Activities may occasionally change due to weather or animal welfare, but we’ll always provide something equally fun or help you rebook another day
