Are you passionate about horses and animals and looking for a unique volunteering opportunity? Look no further than our small animal sanctuary!

Located in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre is a charitable organisation dedicated to the conservation and welfare of heavy horses. As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to work with these magnificent animals on a daily basis, learning about their care and handling from experienced staff and fellow volunteers.

Tasks can include everything from mucking out stables and grooming horses to assisting with training sessions and helping with feeding and yard work and DIY jobs. Whether you're an experienced animal handler or just starting out, there's a role for everyone at the centre.

Not only will you gain hands-on experience with horses, but you'll also be contributing to a worthwhile cause and making a difference in the lives of these beautiful animals. Plus, you'll get to spend time in a peaceful, natural setting and make new friends with like-minded people.

No Experience Needed

Many of our volunteers over the years have started with little or no animal experience. We love teaching, helping and exploring future career paths with our volunteers.
