Lots of goings on

Well where to start. There has been lots going on in the last couple of weeks!

Firstly then, our stamp collection is really starting to pick up pace and thank you to everyone who is collecting stamps for us or who has already sent some in. If you would like to know more about this then check out our Fundraising stamps post posted on here last month. http://northcotehorses.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/fundraising-stamps.html

Last Saturday (16th) we held our masked ball at the Spilsby theatre. A big thank you to Bruce from the theatre who helped us to set everything up and allowed us the use of the theatre space for the evening. There was a nice turnout considering it was the first event of its kind we have put on and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Also well done to Izzy and Rhiannon who painted our centerpiece on the theatre wall, it really did look good. Another big thank you needs to go to Andrew and Doug from County Linx radio who were our DJ's for the night and at very short notice. We will hopefully be attempting this event again next year.

Below is a photo from a cheque presentation which took place recently. It was very windy and a little chilly but our visitors still met all the horses and stood for this picture with two centre volunteers and Cossack our Clydesdale X Shire.

We have also joined Recycling for Good Causes and can now recycle unwanted Jewellery, including watches, gold, silver, costume jewellery and even odd earrings and snapped chains. Also wanted are old mobile phones and old foreign banknotes and coins. We have some envelopes and a collection box at the centre itself but if anyone would like to post us there unwanted jewellery we would very grateful and will be looking at getting Freepost envelopes sent to our supporters as soon as possible.
